Getting started

Connect your AI

Paste one address and sign in. Works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and more.

Paste one address into the AI app you already use and sign in once. No terminal, no tokens to copy. After that, just ask — "what did we decide in last week's meeting?" — and it looks up your company's Slack, meeting notes and docs, and answers with the source.

https://comitia.ai/mcp

⚠️ Paste it exactly like this — no slash at the end. Some apps check that the address matches letter for letter.

Claude (web and desktop)

  1. Go to Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector
  2. Name it Comitia, paste the address above, and click Add
  3. Click Connect. A Comitia window opens — sign in, pick a workspace and what it can do, and click Allow

The desktop app uses the same account setting, so connecting once on the web is enough.

  • Team / Enterprise — an Owner adds it under Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web. Then each member just clicks Connect
  • Free plan — you can add one custom connector

ChatGPT

  1. Go to chatgpt.com/plugins → + → Add custom MCP server
  2. Paste the address above, choose OAuth for authentication, and create it
  3. Sign in to Comitia in the window that opens and click Allow

Custom servers aren't available on every ChatGPT plan. If you don't see the option, check your plan or ask your workspace admin.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http comitia https://comitia.ai/mcp

Then type /mcp in a session, pick comitia and choose Authenticate.

💡 Claude Code also has a terminal, so the CLI works too — it uses fewer tokens per conversation and adds /comitia:* skills.

Cursor

Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (create the file if it doesn't exist):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "comitia": { "url": "https://comitia.ai/mcp" }
  }
}

Open Settings → MCP, find comitia, and click the sign-in button next to it.

VS Code (GitHub Copilot)

Open the Command Palette and run MCP: Add Server → HTTP, paste the address, and name it comitia. Or add it to .vscode/mcp.json:

{
  "servers": {
    "comitia": { "type": "http", "url": "https://comitia.ai/mcp" }
  }
}

VS Code asks you to sign in the first time Copilot uses it. On Copilot Business or Enterprise, your admin has to allow MCP servers first.

Codex CLI

codex mcp add comitia --url https://comitia.ai/mcp
codex mcp login comitia

Gemini CLI

gemini mcp add --transport http comitia https://comitia.ai/mcp

Then type /mcp auth comitia inside Gemini CLI.

Windsurf

In the Cascade panel, go to … → MCPs → Open MCP config file and add:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "comitia": { "serverUrl": "https://comitia.ai/mcp" }
  }
}

What you're allowing

The approval screen asks what your AI can do. You can change it later by disconnecting and connecting again.

StartsWhat it means
ReadAlways onFind and read Slack, meetings, documents and the wiki
OrganizeOnAdd notes and sources, and write summaries into the wiki. Originals are never changed
Post to SlackOffPost, edit and delete messages as the Comitia bot. Your whole team sees these

Pinning one workspace is safer than "All" — the AI won't have to ask which one to use, and if anything ever leaks it stays contained to that workspace.

Try it

Open a new conversation and ask in plain words. Many apps also show Comitia's ready-made prompts (in Claude, the + menu; in Cursor and VS Code, type /):

PromptWhat it does
Get started with ComitiaShows what's in your workspace — or what to connect first if it's empty
Catch me upWhat happened recently, with the source of each point
Find problems worth fixingRecurring problems, likely causes backed by quotes, and small things to try
Organize new sources into the wikiTurns what came in into wiki summaries that link the originals

Nothing in your workspace yet? Connect Slack, meeting notes or Google in Gathering sources — collection then runs every hour.

URL or CLI?

Both talk to the same Comitia. Pick by where you work.

Disconnecting

Account (bottom left) → Connection tokens. Apps connected by URL show a plug icon — click the trash icon to cut them off immediately. Your app will ask you to sign in again the next time it tries.
